FORK River Cleanups, Saturday 3 August and Saturday 7 September 2024
Next month's FORK river cleanup will start from Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum (KAGM) at 10:30 on Saturday 3 August 2024.
A member of FORK's community (who has single handedly already picked up bags of rubbish!) has tipped us off on a location with lots of litter that requires FORK's attention. We will focus on a stretch of the river Kelvin between the Eldon Street and Kelvin Way Bridges. To get started, meet FORK Trustees Helen and Fred in the KAGM car park. We'll be the ones with all the litter pickers, high vis vests and boxes of bin bags to equip our generous volunteers. Once kitted up, we will head over the Kelvin Way and into the park. We will finish at 12:00 with a tally of the total bags of litter collected. Check the weather before you leave so you can dress appropriately and please bring some sturdy gloves.
For the clean up on Saturday 7 September 2024, Helen and FORK Chair Sally invite volunteers to meet at Ha'Penny Bridge House 10:30-12:00 to give FORK HQ's garden some much needed TLC.
