The Friends of the River Kelvin along with The Conservation Volunteers are hosting a special wildflower planting session to enhance biodiversity behind the Ha’Penny House. This hands-on event will introduce a range of native woodland wildflowers, helping to create a more diverse and resilient habitat for local wildlife.
Participants will learn about the importance of wildflower diversity in woodland ecosystems, the best planting techniques to support a thriving habitat, and how to maintain a wildlife-friendly garden. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just curious about local ecology, this is a great opportunity to get involved, connect with nature, and contribute to the health of the river corridor.
The session will take place at Ha'Penny Bridge House from 11:00 - 13:00 on Sunday 16th March 2024.
Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and be aware that safety protocols will be followed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
