A Geological Trail along the Kelvin Walkway
FORK were delighted to hear from Strathclyde Geoconservation Group about their A Geological Trail Along the Kelvin Walkway leaflet. So much so, we invited them to speak at our AGM 2024 earlier this month.
Running along the Kelvin Walkway from Kelvin Bridge to Dawsholm Park, the trail highlights seven locations of interest of exposed rocks and strata and bridge stonework along the river Kelvin. The geological trail is an excellent companion to the Institute of Civil Engineering's (ICE) Kelvin Bridges Trail we posted about earlier this year.
Seeking FORK's feedback on the leaflet's content and thoughts on distributing it, both offline and online, we invited David Webster, Secretary of the Geological Society of Glasgow (of which the Strathclyde Geoconservation Group are a subcommittee) to introduce the leaflet to FORK Members and seek their responses at our AGM.
